Level IV Diploma in Financial Advice CeMap qualified to provide Mortgage Advice I started my career as a District Agent for Pearl Assurance back in 1987 covering South Bank & Normanby area, later transferring to Stokesley, Great Ayton and out to Bilsdale. I was subsequently promoted to Sales Manager then District Manager and though I enjoyed my time as a manager, I did miss dealing with clients face to face and offering that personal service which is quite rare these days. In 2002, owing to the internal changes that didn’t suit either me or my clients, I decided to become an Independent Financial Adviser working with some ex-colleagues based in Darlington. In 2013, I decided to concentrate more closely in my own geographic area so that I could spend more time looking after my growing client base. On a personal note, I have a teenage daughter, Amy Louise and enjoy fishing, walking, golf, motorbikes and old cars. My role is to help you plan for your future and offer personalised advice to help you get the most from your finances: making sure you and your family are well protected, have plans for your retirement and help you find the right package if you’re thinking of buying your own home.
I am in my sixties but very active, living in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park area. I am a keen member of The Dalesman Singers Male Voice Choir. I follow Whitby Town Football Club and play bowls and darts. Linda and I have been married for over 40 years and we have 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren. I worked for 25 years with Pearl Assurance, building up many friendships, along with obtaining the Financial Planning Certificate, before taking voluntary redundancy in 2003 and then working closely alongside my friend and former colleague from Pearl Assurance, Paul Gatenby. My role is to introduce new clients.
